Event Rules

General:

 

By registering for the Ice Bucket Challenge you agree to abide by these rules. Please check this page from time to time, as we may occasionally amend these rules and any changes will be binding on you. By registering for this challenge you also agree to abide by any instructions or regulations displayed or given on the day of the event by organisers and officials.

 

The event is organised by All About Allie and raising funds for the Motor Neurone Disease Association, a registered charity.

If you are a tax payer you can Gift Aid your donations.

Participant Entry:

 

I agree that I am:

  • Physically fit and able to take part in this event (please seek medical advice from a General Practitioner prior to the event if unsure).

  • Able to take instructions on the day to follow the exact Guinness World Records attempt criteria

  • Able to withstand 6 litres of water and ice poured over my head

  • Able to lift a 6kg bucket over my head and tip it 180 degrees unaided

  • Willing for any video footage, stills or photographs taken during the participation of the event to be used by AAA or our third party partners to publicise the event, by MNDA for commercial and fundraising purposes and by our third party partners for their own commercial and marketing purposes. This may include, but is not limited to, television broadcasts, publications, marketing material and other documents that may be made available to the public.

  • Over 16 years of age and taking part with full permission of my parent/guardian if under 18 years of age

  • Able to be at the event by 6pm latest on 21st June 2016 to allow all final Health & Safety checks and Guinness World Records rules to be adhered to.

 

I understand that:

  • My registration fee is non- refundable should I subsequently not be able to attend on the day

  • There are no individual changing facilities onsite

  • There is no childcare provision onsite

  • Any non participants are unable to enter the challenge area and must remain in the viewing area

  • AAA cannot be held responsible for loss or damage to any vehicles, property or personal possessions whilst at the event.

  • My registration for the event will not be confirmed until my payment has been processed and I’ve received a confirmation email and ticket to attend.

  • Due to the nature of the event there is no wet weather contingency, the venue is completely open air.

  • The event will not be taking place within Silverstone race track, it is being held in one of the exterior car parks.

  • AAA reserves the right to refuse entry on the day to anyone if for whatever reason it deems a person unfit to take part.

  • AAA reserves the right to deny access to any late comers who may jeopardize the attempt should they be allowed late access

  • Dogs and other animals are not permitted to the general challenge site

  • I am attending entirely at my own risk. I accept that AAA shall not be liable for any injury or loss to participants or their property that might occur as a result of their participation in an event, other than in respect of any injury or loss arising as a result of AAA’s negligence.

  • First aid facilities will be provided at the event

  • We are unable to accept your registration or sponsorship money on the day of the event as AAA does not have the suitable cash handling facilities to fulfil this process.

  • I have a legal responsibility to ensure that all sponsorship monies/donations received in connection with an event are paid to MNDA through the JustGiving site, and we ask that you do this as soon as possible and before 21 July 2016 deadline.

 

General Conduct:

 

AAA respectfully asks that all participants and supporters do not use aggressive or abusive language towards our organisers, marshalls, officials and volunteers. We also ask that all participants and supporters use the litter facilities around the event site and carry it with you until you can dispose of it responsibly.
