Fundraising
How will my money be used?
Every donation makes a difference to a person living with Motor Neurone Disease (MND). MND Association is the only national charity in England, Wales and Northern Ireland that supports people living with MND, their families and carers.
Your money will go towards improving care and support for people with MND, their families and carers. Some examples of how your fundraising can help;
- £50 funds laboratory equipment for a day of vital research into finding out the causes of MND
- £125 will fund a specialist communication app for a tablet/iPhone/laptop
- £200 provides a basic level of respite care for a day

How can I pay?

When do I need to pay in monies raised?
Please submit all your fundraising prior to the event
At the event:
What time do I need to arrive/leave
All attendees making the GWR attempt should arrive by 1800hrs, allowing time for registration and briefing of GWR qualifying criteria. The event will be finished by 2000hrs.
Is there a viewing area
Supporters are welcome to attend the event and help fundraise and spread awareness about MND. There will be viewing areas where you can watch the challenge attempt, however they are not permitted into the GWR zones before or during the official attempt.
What facilities are available
Toilets, male/female changing areas (please individual changing areas are not available), merchandise stalls (AAA, MNDA, GWR & Silverstone), hot food, snacks and drinks will be available to purchase. There are no facilities for lockers or storage of luggage or personal items. AAA can not accept responsibility for loss or theft of any personal belongings during the event.
What do I need to bring with me on the day
Water, Ice and buckets will be provided. You will need to bring your own towel and dry clothes. Cash for purchasing food, drink and merchandise.
What do I get for taking part
Attendees taking part in the GWR attempt with receive an MNDA t-shirt, AAA wristband and medal.
How will we know if we have broken the world record?
A Guinness World Record judge will confirm if the record has been achieved after the attempt.

Medical Assistance
The British Red Cross will be on site.
What are my transport/parking options getting to the event?
By Car:
- M1 J15a toward Towcester, follow signs for Silverstone.
- M40 J10, A43, follow signs for Silverstone
Train: Nearest train stations (distance from Silverstone)
- Wolverton (10.3miles)
- Banbury, Milton Keynes and Northampton (all within 13miles)
Taxi: These are readily available from all train stations. Please book your return journey in advance
Is there parking?
Car Parking is available at Car Park 50C accessible from the West 10 entrance.
Are there ID requirements or an age limit to enter the event?
There is no age limit to attend the event, but you must be 16years+ to take part in the official GWR attempt. Please bring your tickets as proof of registration. ID will be required for those who look under 16 years of age.
Is my registration/ticket transferrable?
